Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Yesterday ended up being pretty rough for her, but she is feeling better now. Apparently everything was "normal", but she was experiencing more swelling and pain than before. They gave her morphine to fight the pain, but that made her nauseous, which made it difficult to eat anything. With Julie's metabolism, she needs to eat all the time; not having any nutrition since the surgery was, I think, taking a toll. So it was kind of a balancing act to get all her needs met.
But she's eating a little now, and she's looking and sounding much better. Both Kempers came by to see her this morning, and she said they got her up into a walker for a bit. They've cleared her to leave ICU and get a regular room this afternoon. They said it would probably be room 608, but I'll confirm that once we're in there.
We're bringing the kids up to see her this afternoon, and I'll let everyone know when she feels up to more visitors.
Thanks for all your concern, thoughts, comments and prayers...keep 'em comin'!
