Julie had a Vestibular Schwannoma, which is a tumor generating from the sheathing of the Vestibular, or balance, nerve. It was a large (2.7 cm) tumor originating in her right inner ear. The surgery to remove it, which took place on March 27th, lasted nearly eleven hours. But, by all accounts, it seems to have been very successful. This blog is a tool for friends and family to follow the progress of her surgery and recovery. Photo by Tina Amerson

Hey Tweetie-Pie,
It's so good to hear from you! I'm glad your out of ICU,in your own room (you may actually be able to get SOME rest now!), & have gotten to see Kristen & Collin! I know they miss their Mom.
I'll probably visit the horses tomorrow morning & then I'm heading up to SA in the afternoon (change of plans, again) to spend time with my Mom.
Hang in there & don't let the PT work you TOO hard!
Let me know if I can help w/anything.

Like your namesake, it feels like your voice is coming from 20,000 leagues under the sea. But it's great to hear from you, Jules!
Love,
