Hello All! Turns out Chris, who is a funny guy (albeit quiet) in person, is an even funnier writer. I have laughed alot over the last few days, especially since i have recovered some. Reading has been an implausible task; and writing, an even harder one. Chris has read me some select posts, which have caused me to laugh and cry (tears of happiness) to know we are so blessed with family and friends. He has been too humble to read many if his own outloud, so i'm just getting a peak and a chuckle now! I thought i would add a few stories that he would not, being a respectful hubby and all.
the first is upon arrival home: the next day I asked for an item which we always have, but didn't at the time, and I decided it was imperative to my survival. So i called a dear friend who lives out here and the converstation went like this, "Can I get anything for you on the way home?" And I replied "Yesh, i'll take some benable trarlsh" And she very politely and very confused said "What? And about 4 tries later I get her to understand 'bendable straws"! Bless you, Mel, for sticking it out.
Anyway, I started this post last weekend and i have had a week! Siatic nerve has been bothering me since surgery...amazing the hole in my head pales in comparison to my heinie hidering my happiness. Between my masssage therapist, Catherine, and my personal yoga intr., Debbie, I think I am on the right track. Sutures came out this week and I did 4 miles around Cosco two weeks post op and this all wiped me out. still, every day is better than the next as my ataxic gait impoves and my right side slowly returning. It's nice to see the flowers that have been sent as I motor about the house, and we have eaten some good food that some of you have prepared. I have so many to thank that I cannot begin here. but it is all greatly appreciated.
Love to You All, Jules

I was so glad to read all of that. I had to wikipedia "ataxic gait", great phrase, but glad to know it is improving. Also glad to hear you have a Costco to wear you out. Mostly I'm glad you are the kind of person who laughs when things are tough.
Love,
Alisa
Jules,
It was so great to get a quick look at you the other day - you look amazing! Glad to see that you have the strength to list your own posting, what a great sign! Can't wait to see and hear more from you!! As always, remember I'm here if you need anything (like bendable straws)!!
Love you guys!

Hey Julie! Love your sense of humor throughout this. Hope the sciatica is a little better. You know acupuncture may help and I have the name of someone I would like you to try if you are interested. I think she could help in a lot of ways with your recovery. Call me if interested.
Love,
Catherine
